Group High Peak Hike: Seymour

  • Caravan Meeting Spot for Seward Range 46 Coreys Road Tupper Lake, NY, 12986 United States (map)

Onward Mountain Guides is delighted to offer group hikes for individuals seeking a community experience to tick summits in the High Peaks. Our group hikes are a great way to gain confidence for those tough and remote peaks, and meet new hiking friends!

This trek demands a high level of physical fitness to complete it within the available daylight hours. OMG reserves the right to deny participation if an individual’s participation compromises group safety.

This guided day hike takes you to Seymour Mountain (elevation 4,120’, with a round-trip distance of approximately 14 miles and an elevation gain of around 2,350’). Preview the route here.

We'll meet at the intersection of Coreys Road and Route 3 at 7:30am, and then caravan down Coreys Road to the trailhead together. Please arrive packed and ready to hike.

After introductions and a comprehensive trip overview at the trailhead, we’ll embark on our trek to this unmarked summit. Along the way, we’ll discuss safe backcountry travel and immerse ourselves in the rich natural history of the Adirondacks. The trip will be led by Jarrod Blundy, the owner and lead guide of Onward Mountain Guides.

Prior hiking experience is highly recommended. Good physical condition, appropriate clothing, and proper equipment are essential.

Please note that the overall time commitment will depend on the pace of the group, and OMG cannot guarantee the exact return time to the trailhead.

2-person minimum to run as open group hike. If that minimum is not met, we will offer the day as a private booking.
