Group Courses

We provide drop-in group courses, such as group hikes, climbing clinics, and open cragging days. They’re a great way to get instruction on specific skills or tick off peaks with other hikers.

We’re also proud to support the ADK Climb Club, a local group meetup every Wednesday evening at 5:45pm — year-round! — for rock climbing, ice climbing, or bouldering. Need to borrow gear for the club? We provide it for free. Just reach out ahead of time.

  • We pick a peak and climb it! We rotate through many of the High Peaks to help aspiring 46ers work through their tick list. These courses are also great for folks looking for camaraderie and new friends to explore the High Peaks. Spots are limited!

We’re adding new courses and dates all the time, so check back often! Or sign up for our email list below to always be in the know.

Reservation Policy

Trip requests are not considered booked and the dates are not reserved for you until the deposit (50%) has been paid.

When booking with our scheduling widget, the deposit will be collected and dates reserved automatically. The balance is due 7 days before the start of your trip and will be automatically charged to your payment method. This allows us to purchase any necessary supplies in preparation for your trip.

When requesting a custom trip, the form indicates your interest in reserving a trip with us and gives us enough info to start building your trip plan, but it doesn’t guarantee a spot will be available.

We’ll get back to you as promptly as possible (usually 1-3 business days) to confirm if a trip on your preferred date is available, and to send a booking link so you can make a deposit.

Cancellation Policy

If we cancel your trip for any reason (unfavorable weather conditions, illness, etc.), a full refund will be issued.

If you cancel the trip for any reason, a refund will be issued according to the following conditions:

  • Cancellations made 15 or more days out from the start of the trip will receive a full refund — minus processing fees (around 8%).

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the start of the trip will forfeit the deposit, unless we can book another trip to fill your day.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the start of the trip will forfeit the full cost of the trip, unless we can book another trip to fill your day.

  • Any refunds made for a cancellation you initiated will be less processing fees (around 8%). Or you can choose to keep the full refund as a gift card credit toward a future trip within 12 months.

We've done our best to make this respectful and fair. When you book your trip, our guides commit to it for their schedule, spend time preparing, and count on that income. Last-minute changes are disruptive, and it's unlikely that we'll be able to rebook your day with someone else.
