Owned and operated by Jarrod Blundy, a licensed New York State Guide and lifelong adventurer with 20 years of hiking and climbing experience, Onward Mountain Guides provides unforgettable outdoor experiences in the heart of The Adirondack Park. Whether you’re a brand-new climber looking to “learn the ropes” or an aspiring 46er with just those remote peaks to check off, you’ll get a quality, educational, and fun experience with me.

Based in Saranac Lake, I guide trips throughout the North Country, including Lake Placid, Keene, Keene Valley, Tupper Lake, Wilmington, and Jay.

Here’s the TL;DR:

  • I welcome both beginners and advanced guests.

  • In the summer months, I guide Hiking & Camping, Rock Climbing, and Slide Climbing.

  • In the winter, I guide Ice Climbing, Snowshoe Hikes, Winter Mountaineering, and Backcountry Skiing.

  • Families and kids are welcome! (I was a Cub Scout Camp director for years!)

  • Dogs make great hiking companions and boost morale! 🐶 On appropriate trips, you’re encouraged to bring along the four-legged friend, or request my dog Phin for company.

  • Half-day trips start at just $250 for two people ($350 for full-day trips).

  • Want to level up on specific skills? I provide regular drop-in clinics, group hikes, and group climbs. Check our schedule!
