Pricing Guide

Your trip’s price is determined based on the type of activity, the gear used, the length (time and distance), and number of people. It is subject to change based on the specifics of your trip plan, but these standard rates will give you an idea of what to expect. Check our Adventures pages for activity-specific prices, and please get in touch if you have any questions. Clinic spots and drop-in group hikes and climbs are priced per person and are shown on our courses page.

Our Full Day rates beat their Half Day rates!
We’ve discovered that half-day programs can be quite stressful for both clients and guides, as they feel rushed to get done within a specific timeframe. Sometimes, you’re having a fantastic time and want to take a break on the summit, squeeze in one more climb, or really focus on improving your skills. Or, the hike might be challenging, and it naturally takes longer. So, instead of worrying about rushing to finish within 4 hours or getting charged more, we’ve priced our full-day trips to be competitive with other outfitters’ half-day rates. That way, you can fully enjoy your perfect adventure without the stress of a strict deadline. (If all you’re seeking is a truly short, roughly half-day or shorter adventure, and our price seems too high, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll work something out together.)

Have more than 6 people? Let’s talk! I can usually create a custom trip to accommodate.

Overnight adventures run at the Extended Day rate for each day of the trip.

A deposit of 50% holds your date and is applied to your total balance with the final invoice.

Reservation Policy

The Request a Guide form indicates your interest in booking a trip with us and gives us enough info to start building a tirp plan, but it doesn’t guarantee a spot will be available. We’ll get back to you as promptly as we can to let you know if your trip on your preferred date is available.

After your itinerary has been set, Onward Mountain Guides will send an invoice for payment. The deposit is due upon receipt of the invoice, and payment of the remaining balance is due 7 days ahead of the start of your trip.

Trip requests are not considered booked, and the dates are not reserved for you, until the deposit has been paid.

Cancelation Policy

If a trip is canceled, at the guide’s discretion, due to weather or unfavorable conditions, a full refund will be issued.

If you cancel, for any reason, a refund or credit will be issued according to the following conditions:

  • Cancelations made 8 or more days out from the start of the trip will receive a full refund, including the deposit.

  • Cancelations made within 7 days of the start of the trip will forfeit the deposit.

Dog Policy

We think having a dog along for the adventure is great for morale and more fun for the group. Plus, it’s fun for the dog too! However, not all hikes are appropriate for tag-along doggos. The terrain could be too long or strenuous, include obstacles like ladders to climb, or include dangerous water crossings. There are also trails where dogs are not allowed whatsoever.

If you’re interested in having your dog, or my dog (a friendly Golden Retriever named Phin!), to accompany us on your trip, please let me know! We’ll discuss appropriate hikes to match the ability of your pup. We reserve the final say on whether a dog can come on the trip.

You accept full responsibility and liability for your dog while on a trip, including the very real possibility of their injury, getting lost, or death.

All dogs will remain on leash during the entirety of the trip.

In general, we will not allow dogs on trips…

  • in which we expect to hike into the night.

  • during extreme weather.

  • in which we cross areas where dogs are prohibited.
